Wilfred T. Adderley II
Wilfred T. Adderley II is the Second Secretary/Vice Consul and Head of Chancery at The Bahamas High Commission. Mr. Adderley joined his country’s Foreign Service in 2013 and was posted to the High Commission in 2016. Mr. Adderley became President of the Young Diplomats in London for the 2017/18 year and was elected for a second term at the YDL AGM in October 2018.
Mr. Adderley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Masters’ Degree in Communication, with an emphasis in International Relations and Development from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies from Oxford University, Oxford, UK. He speaks English and Spanish and is an accomplished musician, singer and pianist. He was awarded a Chevening Scholarship in 2014 and is a Chevening Scholar 2014-2015. He is the Political Officer at the High Commission and also has direct oversight of Chancery matters.
Born in Milan in 1988, he graduated in International Law at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome with a master in diplomatic science at LUISS School of Governance. Before moving to London to work in consultancy (2014), he has lived in Egypt, studying Arabic at the American University of Cairo.
Since September 2015 he is Advisor at the Representative Office of the Bank of Italy in London which is also the Office of the Financial Attaché of the Italian Embassy in the United Kingdom.
In addition to English and Arabic, Riccardo speaks French and Russian; at the age of 18 he obtained a degree in Viola at the Conservatoire of L’Aquila (Italy).
Giorgi Kobakhidze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 1989. He graduated in Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with a master in International Law.
Since August 2018, Giorgi Kobakhidze is counsellor at the Embassy of Georgia to the UK. Before starting his job at the Embassy, he worked in the International Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Giorgi Kobakhidze speaks Georgian, English and Russian languages.
Born and raised in Porto, Maria graduated in Law at Portucalense University and specialised in Mediation and Conflict Management at the Portuguese Ministry of Justice.
Previous to being nominated as Legal Attaché to the Embassy of Portugal in London, she worked in the Probation Services and as Deputy of the Governor on a high level security prison and her work covered multiple aspects of Criminal Law and Social Integration.
As Legal Attaché, she is responsible for the legal and social departments of the Consulates of Portugal in London and in Manchester.
Maria speaks English and French, and is an active member of the London International Gospel Choir.
